Young Warrior Society

Okla Chahta is starting something for
the young men for 2007-2008.

We have long had an area for the young
ladies to learn more about who the are, &
compete to represent the tribe

now there is something for the young men

All the details are still in the works
but here is the beginning

The young Warriors society will be an on going society where young

boy/men from 6 yrs - 18 yrs can become part of a group of

Choctaw young warriors. All the young warriors shall

t obtaining their traditional Regalia

Hat - shirt -necklace - black pants
moccasins - warriors belt

t Learn to use and make traditional hunting items

blowgun - rabbit stick

t Learn to chant a traditional song

t learn to dance the social dances

They can just want to be part of the society or they can

compete to be the "head" young warrior.
