In Loving Memory of Charley Jones

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing 
of an astonishing man, Charley Jones.  
 
Charley was a very important part of the Choctaw culture as he held 
86 years of memories, knowledge and history.  He was so willing to share, teach and enlighten, passing on memories of his childhood days of living in Choctaw territory, Indian school, the Choctaw Language, songs traditions and much more.  Charley passed away Wednesday March 10th, 2004 in his home in Idabel, OK.  
The California Choctaws will miss this great friend, his memories, his knowledge, stories and legends and just everything that made Charley such an incredible person.  
Our hearts and prayers go to his family and friends.  
We love you and miss you Charley you have always been and always will be a part of our family.  Okla Chahta Clan of California

Our NEW & IMPROVED Web Page...

Halito from your webmaster, Victoria Harrison.  I just wanted to welcome you to the new page and also apologize for the length of time it took me to update our page.  I understand that using the web can be very helpful and shouldn't be so time consuming because we are all busy.  I have taken all the contents and listed them to your left so that you do not have to forever scroll in order to find what you are looking for.  Please continue to visit our page as I will be updating often each page and link.  We have a lot of changes for 2004, including a new gathering location, feature hotel, new classes and many many more Choctaw items, projects and other new, fun things to learn and experience in 2004.  I hope to see you in 2004 at the gathering and I hope that you enjoy our new USER FRIENDLY web page.
