  • We are try to arrange to bring a group to put on a Stickball demonstration.

Any help with donations to pay for their rooms and travel would be appreciated contact Okla Chahta

  • Pictures in Choctaw Traditional Clothes

We are going to get some traditional clothes so you can dress traditional

and have your picture taken like you can do with the "old time photos"

  • Class to teach traditional games to children

The 8th Annual gathering showed us that the Children loved learning the games of their ancestors

But the adults had just as much fun watching the children play

So again during the time the parent have traditional classes to go through, the children will have traditional game classes to go to, they can learn to play "the Corn game", "Hide the bullet" and learn to use the traditional hunting tool, the rabbit stick and the blow gun.

  •   We have a volunteer to teach traditional food making

  • Grape corn dumplings ~ Banaha ~ others to be announce

  • We will again have the Dress making Classes

  • Beading the Choctaw collar necklace

(you can buy the beads at cost to start your own or watch a demonstration)

There was a lot of interest in the "Captured Blood" card that tucker Williamson talked about getting. plans are in the works to make "Captured blood" cards at the gathering for those who would like them, we will have to check out the cost of making them. give us some feed back ~What would be a reasonable price.
