Meet your Speaker of the council

My name is Mike Amos and I am very excited about the opportunity to continue serving as Choctaw Tribal Council Person for District #2, North McCurtain County.
During the past four months, I have been
privileged to explain services that are available to many Choctaws who live in
this district. Many times, individuals and families did not know that they were
eligible for assistance through the tribal programs that already exist.
Working with the Chief and other Council Persons is a wonderful experience -
they all share a genuine concern for tribal people . Not only does the Choctaw
Nation have services available to improve the daily lives of the citizens, there
are programs to educate and train so that people can plan for jobs and careers
anywhere in the world.
I was very proud to accept the role of
tribal representative on the Council for this district, and I hope that the
choice tribal voters make on July 14th will allow me to continue to serve.
It is important to me that I get to know all of the Choctaws who live in
District #2 or are absentee. I am visiting as many as possible at their individual homes,
discussing priorities, concerns and problems. With Godıs guidance, I want to
truly be a servant of the tribal people and assist in providing for their needs.
Please remember to vote on July 14th in the Choctaw election. I would appreciate your support and your vote.
My name on the ballot will appear
Michael Allen Amos, but my friends just call me Mike.
Sincerely,
Mike Amos
