Halito! My name is Mahli Chito Onna " Morning Storm"

Mahli means wind, Chito means big

Since the Choctaw language is descriptive, to get the word "storm" you have to put these words together  - a Big Wind is a storm - Onna is morning

I am the Head Judge and Coordinator of the Okla Chahta Princess Contest.

I am very excited that you are interested in running for princess because keeping the traditions alive is the best and really only way to let the Choctaw People live on. 
Running for Okla Chahta Clan of California's Princess is way easy!  

It is in NO way a beauty contest or a contest where only the highly traditional educated can win.  Just a good way to learn your heritage and traditions of the Choctaw People and 

REPRESENT WHAT IS REALLY ROYAL
 YOUR CHOCTAW PRIDE !!!

 We began the Princess Contest to encourage the girls to learn the traditions and
get excited about their heritage. Running should be a learning process and a fun thing not a challenge.
