Contest Rules & Regulations
Contestants
Must:
¨ Be
Choctaw decent
¨ Be
Drug & Alcohol Free
¨ Be
Single (unmarried) with NO kids.
¨ Be
Under 25 years of age. *No minimum on age infants can run also.
¨ Sell
Raffle Tickets *please see
important info on raffle tickets under raffle ticket
section.*
¨ Be
available for Crowning Ceremony, gatherings & other area Choctaw
functions. (You will not be expected to make long travel trips if you do not
prefer). Dressed in traditional Choctaw dress with sash and crown.
¨ Provide
own traditional dress & jewelry
¨ Provide
a Bio of yourself, a photo or photos of yourself, a reflection essay separate
from the bio, and a “what I would say” essay. *Essays will be explained
below.
Winner(s) will agree to represent Okla Chahta Clan of California, Inc. and Choctaw people, in traditional dress, sash & crown should she attend a Pow Wow while in reign as O.C.C. Princess.
(Pow-Wow’s
are NOT mandatory) (If Competing in any other style- i.e. jingle dress, fancy
shawl etc. change into traditional Choctaw dress for grand entries or when
presented as royalty.)
**Raffle
Tickets**
Princess Contestants over 18 are fully responsible themselves, (unless sponsored) for the raffle tickets and money. Contestants under 18 or sponsored, your parent/guardian or sponsor are fully responsible for all tickets and money.
