We the Board and Officers of Okla Chahta realize that these items can be very expense and we want to make sure every young lady / young man that wants to run for princess / warriors society have that opportunity whether their family has the finances to get it all or not. We want the contest open to all regardless of their ability to purchase needed traditional clothes.
So we have been blessed with a grant from Paramount Farms who has given Okla Chahta Clan a donation to assist in this area, thanks to Mike Bryant, VP Okla Chahta Clan.
Although we
wish to help, we want to see desire on the part of the candidate.
So here is the
plan
Way to obtain the traditional clothes needed:
Raffle Tickets - the incentive to selling the raffle tickets
After selling a minimum of 100 raffle tickets
101 - 200 25% of sales go toward your needed traditional clothes or jewelry
201 - up 50% of sales go toward your needed traditional clothes or jewelry 25% of the sales goes
Necklaces - the incentive
We will teach you how to make your necklace - after you have completed yours if you wish to make more for the Choctaw store - we will give you $15 toward your dress for each necklace you donate. Lace Collar or Medallion.. If you do not wish to make your own necklace Theresa Harrison will make your necklace (s) at a reduced price and raffle ticket sales can go toward the price.

Farms made a financial donation to assist young ladies in getting their
traditional clothes for participation in the Princess contest and assisting
the young men in getting their tradition clothes for the
Young Warrior Society.
The board will give financial assistance toward purchasing your needed items after the above has been applied. We would also like to see the family providing financial assistance toward the traditional clothes where possible.
